What I want to know is why we, as a nation, are offended by everything these days? Although I celebrate Christmas, I would not be offended if someone wished me Happy Hannaukah or Happy Kwanzaa or whatever.
Are we really that overly-sensitive? Cut me a break! If you are that fragile, probably the best place for you is a mental institution or a solitary cabin in teh woods where you will not have to interact with the other human beings.

because of political correctness. Its way out of hand. i'm a Pagan and that i say Merry Christmas and satisfied holidays both. I also say satisfied xmas. besides the indisputable fact that Christmas isn't the beginning of Christ. Its a date the christians set because the date. It actual comes from the Pagan xmas. We celebrated it lengthy beforehand we knew of Christ. seem it up. human beings might want to easily get over it... Say what you'll and if someone get indignant then they ought to not have a good time the holiday. also to the lady who reported there is not any different 2 week holiday... once back seem up xmas. some human beings have a good time it for over 2 weeks. My Pagan mom did... the position do you imagine the conception for the 12 days of X-mas are available in? that's almost 2 weeks.

Merry Christmas! I am one not to be very PC and frankly I think people are more offensive when they try to be PC. I celebrate Christmas, and yes I am a Christian. Does this mean I believe everyone celebrates Christmas and / or is Christian? Well of course not, that’s just silly, but for the most part I don’t think Christmas offends many other then the overly sensitive. Every year my co-workers with me Happy Diwali and I have never been offended. I even get Happy Diwali cards and emails from many of them. Because I don’t celebrate Diwali, and was not raised with knowledge of Diwali, should I require them to send me Happy Holidays vs. Happy Diwali? I say NO! I thank them for the greeting because I know this is a very special celebration for them just as they understand how special Christmas season is for me and thank me for my Christmas greetings. We do not have to necessarily fully understand each others holidays or celebrations, nor do we need to celebrate them but we should let each other celebrate in our own way and understand that if someone says “Merry Christmas,” “Happy Hanukah,” “Happy Kwanza” or even “Happy Diwali” they are not being offensive but sharing with you the greetings of warmth and love, no matter the words. So take them as such and be happy that someone remembered you enough to share the greetings of their holiday with you, and be blessed.

I don't think they are really offended because most of them celebrate Christmas too. They just celebrate for a different reason than Christians. The ones who act offended just want to been seen.

I'm offended when someone says merry christmas to me because it's like they are assuming I celebrate christmas and it's like they're assuming I'm christian (which I'm not). There are other religions out there that don't celebrate christmas! It's not a christian world in my mind. Not everyone is christian!

Well no, I mean you smile politley and say Happy Holidays to you to or the best way to put it is Happy Christmahanukwanzasolsticedan. AKA Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanza, Winter Solstice, and Ramadan. So no one ever gets offended.

I don't think they are super offended. They simply don't believe in Christ so Christmas doesn't mean anything to them. They tell you Merry Christmas because you believe in Jesus, and rightfully expect that you will answer appropriately i.e. Happy Hanukah, Kwanza, Yule, Season's Greetings, etc. Refusing to say anything other than Merry Christmas to them is just as mean to them as them refusing to acknowledge Christmas for your sake.

suing the church is a little extreme, but non-Christians are offended because you are just assuming that everyone believes that same thing that you do. It's like me assuming that everyone drives a Cadillac just because it's my favorite car.

What holiday spirit.
Chirstmas has nothing to do with the birth of your Christ figure, it is a pagan festival adapted by the Romans as a way to get conquered tribes to worship the same way they did.
And now it has been adapted by the stores to be the biggest cash cow on the planet.
