We should not be tolerating things that we do not want to ever accept. When you tolerate something for so long, you eventually run into the problem of that troublesome thing becoming acceptable. It's a tragedy when that happens because we lose our sense of right and wrong.

Because we continued to tolerate divorces in our society, marriage has become a joke (a convenience). We never should have tolerated the idea that people can come and go as they please, and never stay committed. It's a tragedy that we've allowed this to happen in our society.

we've made progress with international human rights and humanitarian law. there is still much to be done but the individual is protected more from prejudice than they ever were.

the level of equality has also increased on a political/legal level but, unfortunately, not on an economic one and that problem is worsening.

baby steps..there is still a lot more we can do. One thing, those who practice Radical Islam need to learn tolerance! the rest of us are not Infidels!
