Ok this is how I chose the names for my girls...
# 1 ~ I looked through a book and made a list of names I liked... and that was a bunch. So then I narrow it down to names that sounded good with our last name. Then I had a list of about 6 names. Then, I allowed Daddy to look at them (hehe). And he hated all of them! ... except one, Alayna.
# 2 ~ Spent all nine months trying to do the same thing as # 1, but I wanted the name to be Irish Gaelic. Two names we came up with were Brianna & Bridget. I was sitting on the bed and told Daddy that we needed to decided on the name for real... chose Brianna ~ and my water broke... LOL.
# 3 ~ Wanted to keep Irish Gaelic ... did an internet search and bought a baby names book that included what sort of picture people thought of when hearing certain names... This time I decided to look up the name meanings. I wanted something a little unusual ... and we chose Keeley. (Means - Beautiful)
So anyway, that is how I came up with our girls' names.

Try to choose a name that sounds good with the last name. If in doubt, just say the names together several times. Are they easy to say? Do the names flow together?
Good girl names: Amanda, Christina, Angelina
Good boy names: Christopher, Julias, Derek
Good luck!

Congrats! Me too! I am due Feb 2!Well, my husband and I were looking for names that maybe reminded us of Vegas since we got married there 2 years ago and it's our fav place. We thought of all kinds of crazy ones ( Newton, Vegas, Elvis...etc. ) and then I came up with Sahara. We stayed at the Sahara Hotel when we got married.......now that we know it's a girl it is one of our choices. Maybe my suggestion will help you come up with a special one of your own. My husband got me a book from the library called,
You Called Me What?: The Sun Guide to Celebrity Baby Names by John Perry (Paperback - Mar 1, 2007)
It's about celebrities and thier baby names..... maybe that will help. We decided Sahara will be the middle name and here is our other choices:
1. Charlotte (Charley for short)
2. Darla
3. Lila
1. Jayden
2. Brandon
3. Joseph
