It will happen. Science tells us that the sun will expand in 350 billion years or something rediculous like that, consuming the inner four planets of our solar system.
I believe it will end much sooner, as we can't look after our world.

earth will eventually be consumed by the sun, if that's what you mean but we have a billion years or two yet. before that human life and perhaps all major life forms could be wiped out by an asteroid and before that global warming will lead to a major crisis for humanity and most mammals.

I'm not trying to burst any ones bubble, but soon, it's about to be on..........The globe itself might not be destroyed but it's definitely going to be a mess when sh!t hits the fan. Oh yeah........Tsunami's, Heat Waves, Volcano's, Earthquakes, Blizzards, Floods, Hurricanes, Twisters, you name it, Mother Nature going to do it! So if I were everyone, I'd keep my eye on that weather report. Soon it's going to get very ugly.
