It depends on how long your cycles are, but normally it will be about 14-15 days after today. What I would suggest you do is go buy some OPK's (Ovulation Predictor Kits). You can get them at WalMart or the drug store. They are very easy to take. You will probably start taking them in about nine days. That test will tell you when you are about to ovulate, and when it does start having sex every OTHER day. Don't have sex everyday, because you want to have the highest sperm count. Also, sex first thing in the morning instead of at night is the best time to have sex as the sperm count is higher in the morning. Also, after having sex elevate your hips for about 20 minutes to ensure that all of the sperm have reached your cervix.

Good luck!

Everyone's cycle is different. There is a myth that woman ovulate 14 days after their period begins...but that is only an AVERAGE and each month can be different. The other thing is that sperm can live inside you for up to 5 days.... so if you are having a shortened cycle one month and you have sex right after your period and you ovulate earlier than day 14 than yes, there is a chance of getting pregnant. The only way to know is to know exactly when you ovulate. There are several ways to know and some are more effective than others. Some can only predict before ovulation happens and some can only predict that is has already happened. The absolute best info I can give you is to go read a book called Taking Charge of your fertility by Toni Weschler. It will help you understand your body and all the myths about it. It will help you time when you are ovulating and the best times to conceive – or not! . It's about knowing your body and knowing when you are fertile or not.
My husband and I tried for 1 year and had no luck..… We tried ovulation predictors , laying with pillows under me for 20 min. everything……the first month that I began using the book I realized that my timing was WRONG!. We got pregnant that very first month and I am now due Feb 2, 2007. You can pick and choose what you do with your info. Good luck and don't listen the all the myths! Even if you don't get into charting and everything....it will help you in so many ways

Well-you can't magically get pregnant-it takes the average couple 6 months to get pregnant. The best time to try to get pregnant is 2 weeks after the start of your period-your most fertile time.Have sex every day around then and after having sex lay in bed with your hips propped on a pillow for about 15-20 min.
Also-if not already doing so-start taking a daily multi-vitamin-very important.I did these things and was pregnant within 3 months the 1st time and 2 months the 2nd time.

I would want to know why you are in desperate need to "get pregnant".

Its seems like you are trying to trap you man (which NEVER works, by the way) and you are more interested in getting pregnant rather than having a child.

Please think about your life and what you really want before deciding to arbitrarily have a child. Getting pregnant means having a child - that is a life-long committment. There is nothing "romantic" or "sweet" about a young person having a child for no reason or for the wrong reasons. It is the child that suffers.

A woman should want to be pregnant to build a loving family, not to "get knocked up".

Go to www.babyhopes.com and you can track your ovulation. Also buy some ovulation tests. Normally 10 to 14 days after first day of your period is when you ovulate.

how long is your normal cycle? cut the number of days in half & start having sex every other day for 5 days. That should cover ovulation days... or go buy ovulation tests and go by them

I've read that a woman can get pregnant anytime. Even when her period is on.

MY GOD !!! Would these women PLEASE get off the 14-16 day thing !!!! LISTEN, EXPERIENCE HUNNY !!! IF I listened to that I would miss mine EVERY SINGLE MONTH !!!!! I ovulate around 8-12 days ....NOT 14-16 !!!! Best advise is ......when your period STOPS*** every morning use an ovulation pee stick......I like Cb&Easy digital, if thats to expensive they have cheaper ones available........ Do that every morning ! It detects your LH surge.. At that point you have 24-36 hrs before you ovulate......Once detected, have intercoarse every other day.......Not every day, because the sperm count will lessen...........You should hit it ..Good Luck !
