I work at a small company and everyone is really self-sufficient. Even though the company is small, sometimes I feel useless and like no one needs my help. There are times when I can spend the entire afternoon doing nothing except surfing the web and e-mailing friends. Does anyone else feel this way? What can I do about it?

This is not "sucking up", it merely expresses your interest and a demonstrates your desire to expand your knowledge both professionally and personally
