Have you had any experience with it? Is there actually scientific evidence that supports it?

Yes, I believe it is. I have recorded several things that have not been explained. I've had professionals listen to the recordings. My group generally has more than one recorder going as well as a video camera on all of our investigations so that we can compare our findings. Generally, if someone is faking the noise, it will show up on the video camera. I've heard some very creepy things in my life.

As for EVP as in the way the movie White Noise portrays it, no, I don't believe it. I am sure that at sometime, spirits have communicated and do communicate through all sorts of electrical devises, but not like in the movie.

Check out my website, we have a forum on there with a collection of EVP evidence for you to review and post your thoughts on.

No. It isn't real. It's merely the human ear and mind attempting to form words and phrases from meaningless static.

There's a reason why the proponents of EVP want you to use the lowest quality recording equipment available; they're not well shielded from stray electromagnetic (EM) waves. There are EM waves *EVERYWHERE*. They come from the wiring inside your walls, the phone lines, the powerlines outside your house, and even the recording device itself. These EM waves or fields can cause static on a low-quality device.

It's also possible that these "voices" that are heard are nothing more than a radio broadcast that happens to make it onto the tape.

The human mind wants to make sense of the senseless. EVP is nothing more than that behavior being applied to random static.

Well I don't think so. I think it is caused by energy waves the the tape is senitive to but we are not. Also, whenever you hear one everyone in the room hears something different. And then they discuss it and eventually they all hear the same words. Come on. asdfgsgbkj n ba a can sound like and thing. it is static.

Yes, EVP is very real. I myself have recorded many unseen voices. Sometimes you have to turn the recording all the way up in order to hear anything.

I put a recorder on one night and I heard some muffled words that was hard to understand.
Later I found out that I was talking in my sleep.

You have GOT to watch Ghost Hunters on Sci-Fi. It's real investigations, not that crappy, stupid fake stuff. Check out there T.A.P.S. website. They write about experiences with E.V.P.s and even have lots of audio clips that you can listen to. That's creepy stuff. http://www.the-atlantic-paranormal-society.com
