Of all the "aliens" that are a part of Star Trek, were there any from another galaxy? I don't mean another solar system or characters like Q or a member of Species 8472, but an alien from a civilization located in another galaxy.

Yes. I recall in the first series there were aliens from the Andromeda Galaxy bent on colonizing ours. Naturally, Kirk and company were able to spoil their plans. Unfortunately, I'm not that much of a fan that I can come up with the episode name.

Star Trek never left our galaxy (Except for engine "malfunctions"). Even species like the founders and the traveler were from far flung reaches of our own galaxy. Even the Borg originate from our galaxy. All of the alien species seen in Star Trek all hail from our galaxy.

Now that you mention it, I don't think any of the crew members were ever "galaxy-foreigners", but you do get the odd mystery character or phenomenon that appears to be from further away (wouldn't know of any examples off-hand though, sorry - beaming does that to me...)
