We rarely get this much snow East of the mountains this late in December. Most of the snow storms are in the Fall or Spring.

I did live in Denver at Christmas '82. We had 2 feet of snow in just 24 hours. The town was virtually shut down for a week. Of course, two weeks later we spent the day in the park in T-shirts and shorts, as the temperature reached 70 degrees.

Because of the mountains, the weather around here always seems unpredictable.
