yes, you don't need the hd dvd add on, but it's strongly reccomended, hd dvd's will burn out your consoles drive. just like regular dvd's will burn out your ps2, both skinny and fat. and same for original xbox, and bluray and dvd will burn out your ps3 after a while, save game consoles for games and not much else.

i know that sucks.

You can upscale dvds to hd but no you cannot watch hddvds on the 360 unless you spend another $189 for an hddvd addon... You have to buy xbox or xbox 360 games because it is not a computer but for movies dvd can be watched out of the box but you have to spend the extra forthe hddvd player... Do some research before because blockbuster isn't renting out hddvd as an hd format for movies they will only rent out bluray....PS3

You can watch HD DVDs on the XBOX 360 if you buy the HD DVD player add-on. It's $199.99 which is a steal if you own already own the XBOX 360 console and have a HDTV. I bought one 2 weeks ago and it's worth getting if you want to go that route.

yes you can but only with the $200 xbox 360 HD player. Its an add on.

No.... You can play a HD dvd on a Xbox360, to watch it you'll need a television with HD compatability.

Yes you can, but you will need to have a HDTV because obviosly if you have a non flat screen TV it aint HD lol so get HD ready TV your Xbox will play hope this has helped :)
