Why do people leave so nasty sarcastic comments when someone asks a genuine question so what its a cavalier so what it is an older car, i to drive older cars by choice, i'm sorry we're not like all you arrogant tossers that must drive a new car as its degrading to drive anything older than an 05 plate. Sorry guys but if you have nothing constructive to say just keep the hole in your face shut as we're not interested or even laughing at your pathetic comments.

Temperature sensor needs replaced. Mines been like that for the 8 years I've had my cavalier.
PS its one of the best used cars out there at the cheap end. Great mechanicals and easy to work on.

you probably have a temp. sending unit problem. You have 2 tempreture sensors right near your thermostate housing. One is for your dash reading. The other is for the cars computer. I would start there! Hope this helps!

Cavalier FFS are you from Outer Mongolia or somewhere like that?-It doesn't work because your car is 55 years old and has probably been in a crusher 3 or 4 times!!
Now get yourself a proper job and buy yourself a proper car and stop congesting our bloo*dy highways with your piece of uninsured and untaxed scrap metal!!!
