No PLEASE TEL HER NO.She can get what is called toxic schock syndrome. It can kill you.It comes from wearing a tampon that is to big for to long.So if you wear a tampon that you don't fill up in 3-4 hours it is to big. This means you are less likely to change it because it is not full thus leaving it in to where bactriria can grow.If she is doing this so she doesn't change as often then she needs to stop and wear one that will fill within 3-4 hours. If she bleeds that much, she needs to see her Dr.But please tell her to stop.Look up TOXIC SHOCK SYNDROME online and read it to her.PLEASE!

The instructions that are on the leaflet inside a pack of Tampax tampons actually tell you that this is OK and there's a diagram showing you how to insert them side by side Its perfectly safe if you have a heavy flow You shouldn't do this just to avoid having to change the tampon as often , only if your flow is heavy and you intend to change as normal As for the answers above that say you have to be 'loose' to do this, sorry but this is nonsense, the vagina can expand easily to accommodate 2 tampons (after all, even 2 large tampons side by side are still smaller than the average penis, and most women have no trouble with that!) I you need 2, go ahead and make sure you change at regular intervals as normal.

LOL many people answering this question have never had a really heavy period. I would have to use 2 super tampons and a pad to get through a trip to the grocery store. My Dr said it was fine to do that. Just don't leave the tampons in longer then 4 hours. Two tampons are no different then inserting one. The vagina expands to accommodate a baby's head two tampons is no big deal! It is perfectly safe!

do no longer try this. I by twist of fate positioned a 2d tampon in as quickly as whilst i replaced right into a young person. i replaced into drained and wasn't paying interest to what i replaced into doing. interior of an hour or so I had this terrible soreness in my decrease abdomen. Worse than a cramp. for specific I figured it out rather without put off...yet getting that 2d tampon out replaced into very complicated. as quickly because it got here out the soreness stopped and that i've got in no way made that mistake when you consider that. What you will desire to do is get a extra absorbent tampon and a extra absorbent pad. replace them precise till now your assembly starts off and you will desire to be wonderful. Take care.

If her menstrual flow is SO heavy that even Super+ tampons aren't controlling it for more than an hour, then she needs to get in to her doctor RIGHT NOW.
However, if she's only doing this so she can avoid changing the tampon more often then she's leaving herself open to all sorts of health problems from TSS (a deadly disease) to vaginal infections and loss of muscle tone.
Either way, she should NOT be doing this.

I have a friend who does that - 2 supers, but one after the other. Her flow is too heavy for 1 super at a time.
She's been doing it for 10 years, and her doctor didn't see a problem with it. She just has to make sure not to leave one in!!

WOW....while it is odd I doubt it will do any long term damage. She may get stretched out a bit though.
The key concern is that she is not leaving them in there for longer than the maker's guidlines. She should probably just look into getting those SUPER tampons or stick to pads while she is having heavy bleeding.

I've heard of women doing this before. I don't see how it's any less safe than one tampon, as long as she has the flow to match the absorbancy. btw, there are also plenty of women who take two penises inside their vagina at the same time, side by side, without incident.

Not only is it not safe but its grossly unhygenic. If she is doing it because of a heavy flow maybe she should use a pad as well or a bigger tampon, but not two at once.
Another thing: when a tampon is inserted properly only one should fit - not two,so she is not using them properly in any case

It is OK to use two at once if your flow is very heavy. Read the package insert---it tells you about it. I would not think you should insert them both at once; one after the other would be much easier and more comfortable.
