i have windows xp installed but my husband wants to change the writing to chinese so he can use the computer/ go on the internet. i would appreciate any tips. thanks

You can probably do it through "my Computer" then "control panel" then "Regional settings" the icon is like a globe.
Only thing is, without a chinese keyboard, I cannot see how it would work, especially since they have a lot more than 26 letters.

Go to the Regional and Language Options in Control Panel. Change the regional options and input languages, and you might need to hit the box to install files for East Asian languages. You might also need to get into Windows Update and install Chinese character support if you do not already have it.

In Internet Explorer go to Tools - Internet Options - Languages - Add - select the language you would like to use.

you can try that software to see if it helps. I have the professional version, donno if the one above is trail or not. You can use it to convert program to chinese, so all the menu and command will appear in chinese. It can translate a whole passage to chinese as well, not making much sense though. Well at least it is way better translator compare to the one google has.
