Basically, the Triangle consists of a three-man triangle on one side of the court and a "two man game" on the other side of the court. Unlike set plays, there is a freedom of movement in the offense. There are a wide variety of cuts, depending on how the defense plays, a "read and react" kind of thing.

Unlike a freelance motion offense, there is a structure requiring precise court spacing and cutting. Every player must know each position on the floor. And, while there is no way that we can show all of the many options in the Triangle, this week's lesson plan will look at basic movements of the Triangle Offense.

Phil Jackson is in basic terms a super coach and that factor, no person knows what Triangle Offense is. The communities now have a answer for that Triangle Offense, it relatively is the Zone protection.

It's called a triangle because it uses three men at a time, but it's more like a three man rotating circle that becomes another circle when one man drops out and another is added. It basically leaves the guy with the ball two men to pass to at any one time.

basically you have three main players. for the lakers you have kobe, lamar odom and smush parker. kobe is the main shooter. odom posts up and sets screens. smush handles the ball around the perimeter. thats all the triangle offense is!

Well, there is a lot of quick passing so it opens up the three point line. It is a very complicated offence and it would take me a while to explain it.
