The University of Phoenix is accredited, and the degree you earn will be a MS like the one earned from UH.
The question is - are all degrees treated equal? Compare and Ivy League to a state run school? If you were hiring, and all other things were equal- who and would you choose? I say put in the work at a traditional school.
I've come in contact with many graduates of U of P, and even though they have the degree, they weren't quite as prepared.

Technically, no.
I'm going to use the MBA as an example. It doesn't have the accreditation from the AACSB. They claim not to want the accreditation from them because they're not a "traditional" business school. U of H's business school is a "traditional" one and has that accreditation. At the undergrad level, Univ of Phoenix has the right accreditation. Not at some of the graduate levels though. You need to check the particular grad program to see if it has proper accreditation.
Will all employers know the difference? Perhaps not. The more sophisticated ones will tho, with the accreditation being the primary difference maker.
There's also a pretty big difference in reputation (which is actually somewhat important in the business field when first looking for jobs). UH has done a pretty good job of becoming respectable. Back in the 70's, they were jokingly referred to as Uni High because there rep was so low, it was like they were a high school instead of a college.

The ubiquitous Univ. of Phoenix does not have a universally good reputation. If you plan on teaching at the college level after getting your master's, then absolutely do not waste your time with the Univ. of Phoenix. I'm a librarian who has worked in academia, and have heard how teaching faculty look down on U of Phoenix degrees!
If you plan on working in the private or public sector, then a degree from Univ. of Phoenix may or may not hurt you.
Since many traditional universities also offer distance learning courses, why bother with the Univ. of Phoenix? Spend the money to get a degree that will mean something no matter WHERE your career takes you!

University of Phoenix is an online school that is accredited, but is in no way affiliated with any standard 4 year institution. online degrees are frequently easier, less comprehensive, and cheaper than normal degrees. if an employer looks at two comparable employees and one has an online degree, they will more than likely look more favorably on a traditional degree.

Depends. The accredited business degree in UofH is only found there and several other universities.
