Oulines or study guides, or my school calls them study sheets. This great for reading assignments. I'll have a 10 page reading assignment but I'll have it condensed down to a couple pages of notes on the high points, people, etc. You can do that to your notes too, go back and just right down the real big stuff that is poetential test material. It's comes in handy for quick reviews right before a test or quiz. Easier to go through 2 pages then 10 pages.

This best thing to do to study is do a daily review of what you have done for each of your classes and also do a weekely review of what you have done for all of your classes. This way you are getting the information 3 times. Then when it is time for your test you should be only studing for about 30 minutes for your test because you should k\know the information and it will be put in long term memory. If you only study it once then it is put in short term memory. I did a college paper on this and it is the mod\st effective way for understanding the information.

read over the material first, then write useful notes to study from. then quiz yourself from the material on your notes

i take notes, you know, put it in words that i understand so that theres less to read. then i just... read it. it's not hard. try doing a little each night, or when you can, just take it slowly and try not to cram
