Should I feel guilty for saying that, instead of prison, we save the taxpayers a heap of cash by taking this dirtpile(and every anti social scumbag like him) out with a baseball bat?
I think not.
I think that 'culling the herd' is sometimes needed.
No rehabilitation.
No councilling
No second chances.
No futile attempts to become a "productive member of society"
Just WHAPWHAPWHAP!!!!

Just WHAPWHAPWHAP!!!! LOL..I laughed so hard I can barely breathe. Yes, I can see the Govenator becoming a Judge down the line and upon issuing a verdict of "guilty" rising from the bench in his big black robe, grabbing a baseball bat and beating the accused to death while muttering "guilty..guilty..guilty...." with his Austrian accent.

Well, prisons claim to be rehibilitation when in fact all they are is some place to stick them bc we CAN'T beat them with a baseball bat.

Prisons do NOT rehibilitate. They hold prisoners there until their time is up then release them into society. The sad thing is, most long termers want to do better once they are out however, the gov't sticks them out in the real world with their belongings and a bus ticket. Therefore, alot of criminals can't cope with not being directed what to do every minute of the day....so they go out and commit a crime again so they can get locked back up. It is a vicious cycle. Perhaps if these prisons offered couseling sessions, life lessons, and actually tried to rehibilitate these ppl....the prisons wouldn't be overcrowded.

If someone hurt my kid...it would be hard for me not to take matters into my own hands.

I liked Johnny Depp's line in his movie Blow where he went to jail for selling pot the first time around, and he stated he came in with the knowledge of how to sell marijuana, and learned from other jailers how to sell cocaine, which was a much bigger market. I dont think prison helps people, but I dont suggest beating people to death either. Violence doesnt solve violence, it breeds hatred amongst people. That guy sounds terrible, I cant believe he would beat a poor little child to death. But there are worse alternatives to death, and honestly prison may be one of them. However, there are different kinds of prisoners too. Some people were messed up when they were young, and have noehere to go so they deliberately break the law to go to jail and be protected. Some people in jail are sociopaths/psychopaths, and others are lost souls. its a complicated issue, it cant be solved with a bat. Alot of really good people have gone to jail too, some have not been prosecuted fairly.

What that father did is terrible and unacceptable, and he should never see the light of day again.
