With the anouncement that both warne and mcgrath are planning to retire after the 5th test in the ashes at sydney. How do you think Australia will cope without them, will they stuggle to bowl teams out as they have done so good over the last decade or will some bright new players on the block will be needed.
I think Australia success has solely been around these 2 bowlers and a couple of batsmen such as ponting, langer, hayden and waugh with these players ageing and no new replacements is australia's domination going for a decline.
Personally i think Australia will always be a great team, but i think a lack of new talent coming through is going to make them slip a bit in the rankings for a while but i do think they're be right back up there again at some point. If you look at teams like England, they're obviously trying to win matches and looking to the future aswell with all these young players coming through like cook & plunkett. Australia don't seem to be doing this!

Any one who thinks that Australia wont find the loss of Warne and Mcgrath a blow is a fool.
However saying that it is probably Warne they will miss the most
Stuart Clark has shown over the last year that he will fill Mcgraths shoes abley, But Warnes replacement is a totally different kettle of fish
Magill would be the most obvious choice but I doubt that he can produce the same results in combining wickets and economy on even non turning wickets that Warne has done all his career.
The depth of Australian Cricket is its greatest strength though
There are just so many really good players from a batting stand point ready to come into the side when the likes of Langer and Hayden retire
Australian Cricket will feel the blow but it wont stop them from being very very strong

Australia has abundance of new players comming through, these players will step up to International level without a problem. And no, Australia's success has not been solely around these 2 guys and the batsman mentioned, it has been due to the trainning and skills the team poccess and the desire to be # 1 in the world and stay there. You are wrong, when you say Australia will decline, due to lack a talent. Obviously you don't live in Australia, Australia can make up a 2nd Test team and still defeat England in an Ashes test series. You have no idea, stevieboy.

Lets see:
To replace McGrath there is Michael Kasprowitch, Jason Gillespie, Shane Watson and a bunch of other good bowlers. Agreed that none of them is as consitant as McGrath.
To replace Shane there is Stuart McGill, Brad Hogg and others. These are also very good spinners, but agreed Shane was/is the master.
Taking this into account, I believe Australia will be a bit (about 1%) weaker, but will still be very, very strong. They have enough deapth to replace the whole squad and still beat everybody.
Their sport system is proven and tested and the results speak for itself.

I think after they are both gone we won't be invincible anymore but still can be the no.1 side.
To say Australias success has been purely on 2 bowlers is foolish. We have had so many good batsman to have go with 2 awesome bowlers to make us invincible in the last 10 years.
We will be weaker and beatable, but still a very strong side.

While retirement of Warne and Mc Grath at the same time will be a blow to Australian Team as both of them formed a formidable bowling attack for Australia over the years, since Australia have sufficient bench strength, they will overcome the crisis soon.

Australia's going to struggle without Warnie and McGrath. Ha ha ha, that's so funny. Is that why England struggled to beat the state sides.
No Australia will not struggle, they'll retain the Ashes for another twenty years.
Oh boy your a funny person.
Merry Christmas.

Yes, it is a big blow to lose two great players. Unfortunately Australia have a plethora of talented bowlers waiting in the wings to get that special chance of wearing the baggy green. They will wear it with pride and do Australia proud.
