I hate when my coworkers recite these comedians jokes to me, i dont like them to begin with, so for them to shove them down my throat and try and force me to think its funny makes me even more mad. It was bad enough coming from an Hispanic person, but it feels worse to have a non-Hispanic tell them to you.

I suppose it makes me mad because i feel that the mocking of our own people (whether it be from our own people or not) slashes our credibility. I want our people to be taken seriously as smart, motivated and most of all American, i dont want to hear stereotypical jokes of Mexican mothers hitting their kids, family drunks and laziness, making jokes only fuels the fires of racism in my opinion

George Lopez through 10 miles. Lopez definitely beat Mencia up because of the fact he stole approximately 13 minutes of Lopez's textile. Mencia has additionally been accused through numerous different comedians of stealing jokes. Now, all comedians in all risk scouse borrow jokes besides, yet Mencia seems to scouse borrow jokes that have already been made standard.

The unfortunate truth is that some people, including comics like Carlos Mencia, George Lopez, Chris Rock, Michael Richards, as well as many other entertainers, do not understand the concept of social responsibility. They will say anything and everything to spark controversy and/or get a laugh or two, but never take under consideration that their comments may offend/hurt others. What can I say...controversy has become a thriving market and, though I am greatly sorry to break this to you, it is probably here to stay. My advice to you: ignore it.

With all of the real problems in the world, why are things like this even an issue to anyone?????? Does getting upset over something as moronic as this, help you sleep better at nite? Do you feel like you are actually making a difference by wasting time and energy on this? If you want to make a difference, open your eyes and try to see the real problems, and then quit whining.

Get a friggen sense of humor. If you can't laugh at everyone you shouldn't laugh at anyone.
I am adding this as an edit:
There are many comics that use racial humor and their audiences are almost always of a mixed racial background. If it was so offensive as you seem to think, there would be fights breaking out at every show. If you cannot see that this type of comedy cuts racial tensions, allowing people to get along by learning to laugh at themselves, then you are part of the problem.

If you're a green-eyed blond (according to your avatar) why do you call the others "white" as if you are not? White hispanic shouldn't accept the label that anglos put on them. Don't call them "whites", call them "anglos". Fight for your roots!

Funny how you don't see any white folks re-creating Michael Richards' routine.
