i was using my computer one day,and all of a sudden my screen went black.so i switched to my onboard grafix and it worked again.but when i went to go online my wireless card didnt work either.i have tried all the slots and nothing worked..i tried an old agp grafix card and that worked..what would cause my pci slots to quit?.......its a brand new motherboard...i would give more info but not sure really what to say other than my pci slots jsut stopped..

This happens when the board gets flexed. A term used in the tech world. The little wires called traces get short circuited when pressing down on the motherboard causing it to bend. Using a card tester will show you if you have good conection or not.

Unplug and replug all the connections from motherboard to places such as hard drives. With a new motherboard either something is loose or you got a lemon.

Might look into replacing that mobo. It is possible that it is a bad one as well. If you don't think that may be it, try reloading drivers for it and hardware and see if that fixes the problem. Hard to determine something like that without more information.

You may just need to re-seed your cards. By re-seed i mean take out and put it back in. This may sound dumb but i find it works. This has happenned to my sound card and graphics card before. If this does not work, it most likely is the motherboard.

I would check the CMOS menu and make sure the pci enabled.
