Depends on who you ask.

We Christians believe that Jesus was born of the Holy Spirit.

Mormons believe God actually came down and had intercourse with Mary.

I'm not sure what other faiths believe.

According to the Bible, yes. But let's be honest. You need 2 pieces to put the puzzle together, a sperm and an egg. And let's not forget that the concept of a god coming down to Earth to impregnate a woman had been told for quite a few centuries prior to the birth of Christ in the Greek and Roman mythology, and that's what all that is... mythology. Every religion in the world has their own version of how the world started, is there a Messiah, etc. They can't all be right. It's just what ever story you believe in.

It's said that the spirit of God descended upon the Virgin Mary. That's why they call it the Immaculate Conception and the virgin birth of Jesus Christ. Mary was as pure as the driven snow.

I believe that it is true.

It is recorded in the gospels.

The disciples of Christ endured torcher unto death for what they witnessed. No man would die in such horrendous ways for something they knew wasn't true.

Merry Christmas
