Man, this reminds me of a quote, I can't remember who said it, or what the exact wording was, but it was something like "Do not be so humble - you are not that great."

I think humility becomes condescension anytime it is false - when we pretend to be humbled when in fact we feel superior, and are looking down on those we pretend to be humbled by. I can't think of any clearer way to put it than that.

When someone interprets it that way. Life is ALL about perception and very seldom about intentions. Ever hear of someone really getting an A for trying if the fail? Same thing.
