Today I loaded my car with various toys for christmas shut the boot and hey presto I left my keys in the boot and locked myself out. I could'nt open the doors because my car is central locking so I had no way of getting in.
I had to walk back into toys r us and ask if I could use the phone so that breakdown would help.
Just to say thanks to toys r us :)
Has anybody else left their car keys in their car?

Yes, twice, when i had a crappy old Metro years ago.
My blond moment extrodinaire was after getting a massive bookcase back from ikea in one piece and without be stopped by the police, smacking the car door into the wall not once, but twice just to hear what my bloke was asking me to do at my end to get the thing out of the car. Huge dents and much embarrassment ensued...

No but I do make sure my car door is open when I go in the boot, as my car is central locking and can lock from outside. Just in case it does happen to me.

You need a car with the key less entry! The kind with the keypad on the door. I love it. I never carry my keys anymore and I never worry about locking myself out :)

Yes I have, and one time I was frantically looking for my keys, couldn't find them any where, so I called my husband to bring me the spare set. When he arrived he found my keys, hanging in the lock on the door of my truck. Boy did I feel stupid.......

No but I've ledt them in my friends NEW Volkswagon Golf door-
In Tesco carpark. Thankfully no thieves noticed!!
But I'm always having blonde moments, and I pay 60quid every 6 weeks for the privelage!!

yep i've done it except my car at the time was so old you could lock the doors manually and i locked it out of habit while the engine was still running. i was getting out so i could clear the ice off the windscreen.

Yeah when the freakin thing was running. I felt like such an idiot and my cell phone, purse, everything was sitting there on the seat. My husband to this day still teases me about it.

Several times... I made a spare and tied it up under the car for cases like that.

yea i did in a rental car in Florida, had to use a coat hanger to get the thing open!
