Neither.

When it says that man (and woman) were created in HIS image, it simply means with the ability to detect right and wrong. Also, with the ability to care and help others. He is called "he" because at "that time" in history and theology, it was believed that creating was a masculine act! Giving the divine life force, creating man all made God male. Creation is masculine, giving birth and things of this "natural order" were of the divine feminine. The life from the male, the "form" from the female.

Also, personification or making god fit a "human" mold is done so that we can "bring him down" to our understanding. It doesn't actually make him male, it just means we call him that so WE can comprehend him. Personally, I'd say he was without sex, but use the masculine pronoun when speaking of "him."

In my point of view, I would have to say that God is probably Gay, possessing both a male soul and a female soul combined together.... These religious fanatics should take into consideration all the evidence from scholars and people doing research on this matter especially the new film put out "The Di Vinci Code" where these religious fanatics are going crazy because of all these interpretations and new evidences that conflict with the Bible.... Who knows, they could be true and the whole religion communities can't and won't accept the truth....We will eventually find out in the end....So I truly think and believe that God is gay....

Who knows exactly what he looks like, but apparently we were created in his image. I also believe He is a Man, at least we would think this from the Bible, as he is referred to as the Father. Ther may be a Mother up there too, who knows?

It depends on which religious background you are a part of. For example, Jewish people believe that God has no genitalia and therefore the divine is both masculine and feminine. Other people disagree.
