my girlfriend thinks that the tenents above her apartment may be secretly looking at her. Before calling law officials is there anyway someone can find out if there are any camaras or any hidden electical devises hidden in her apartment .

Hmm, they're making good use of McSky today aren't they. Can't really comment on that because it appears he's making wild accusations that he has no proof about so I wouldn't want to get tangled up in that little web again but obviously of course a 'burglar' could have been there. Not many burglars nick kids though, they're a bit difficult to sell down the local. Please see my question re name change - I have employed a top PR agent who has suggested this may be the way forward for us people with questioning minds. I have one recruit so far - Yay! Am somewhat concerned that an average of 4 McCann newsflashes a day the quality of amazing new evidence is going to be pretty dire by about next Wednesday. Hopefully we can get a Madeleine newsflash soon - that would be good.

WIth expensive equipment, yes. Otherwise, no. If she has grounds for the suspicion, call the police. Note that in some jurisdictions, hidden taping of others is not illegal, as long as audio is not recorded.

She sounds psychotic (extremely paranoid).
Look for holes or access points in the ceilings of all the rooms. If you find something questionable, seal it or go to a cop store and get sniffer equipment.

you can go to a "spy or close survaillance" shop and hire or buy a device that can tell if there is anything installed
