Bush is a scam--his "Holy Wars" are going to cost us all dearly

2006-12-20 06:29:56 · answer #1 · answered by Sean 4 · 5 2

There's no way to defeat an ideology militarily because ideology isn't a physical thing, that is, short of completely disappearing the owners of the ideology.
The so called War on Terror, or War on Terrorism doesn't make sense. Terrorism isn't just the Middle East extremists. How about the McVeigh and the Oklahoma City incident? You can't wage or even consider winning a war against the random mad bomber. As long as there are civilizations there's going to be "terrorists", even patsies like Linda Ronstadt and the Dixie Chicks.

How do yoiu defeat the ideology of war? You don't, you minimize it as much. How do you minimize war? You talk about it before resorting to it, take every possible route away from war. When that does not work war is what happens. Usually in a war, both sides would have preffered to not do war.

Now, on to the War on terror, one side would prefer to talk, like it should. The other side prefers to not talk but rather blow you up. The reason it is called a War on Terror is because it is not a normal war. In a normal war both sides would prefer peace. but how do you conquer the idea of imperialism? You make the circumstances for such as minimal as possible, something the UN tries to do.

So far, we can equate war to the "war" part of the War on Terror, and we can equate the ideology of imperialism to "terror" of the War on Terror. How do you defeat it overall? Well, as previously stated, usually both sides would prefer peace, but only one side wants peace through non-mililtary means, and this side is everyone that is not a terrorist. So, a normal fight would not work as you may suggest. To defeat an ideology one needs to prevent the circumstances from such arising. Now how does one do this in a war on terror aspect? This is the question that is left unanswered. Militarily it may seem like a possible solution, no people to turn into terrorists, then no circumstances for that ideology happening.

While that solution seems a little whack, that is the only solution right now, since they will not talk for peace. If you have a better solution, please, by all means write to your congressman. There are other solutions though such as giving up and letting the terrorists rule us and have everyone convert to radical islam. But not too many people want to do that.

difficult question, because the conflict on terror doesn't contain a unmarried usa or military, and isn't any longer in effortless words an armed conflict. The conflict on terror is not likely received as long as Iran makes use of its oil sales to provide guns to terrorists in Lebanon, Hamas and insurgents in Iraq and Afghanistan. So a protection stress victory there ought to offer up those activities, or a diplomatic victory the position the present authorities of Iran is voted out. Terrorism is likewise going to be a generational international conflict the position coaching and progression will play a element. Giving new generations ideas ideas for jobs can make putting on a suicide vest a lot less appropriate.

The same way you defeat any military force: in the field with armed forces , you find em, front em en kill em....problem is that you can easily defeat a military BUT DEFEATING A NATION TAKES MORE THEN THAT!!!!!!!!!

Look, try to see the bitter truth:

1. to win a war you must first understand both your war aims and your opponants.... (oooops)

2. A "war on terror" is not a clearly defined war against a clearly defined opponant (see above...ooops)

3. A war on Terror is about as logical as a war on good english or the oxford dictionary (allough i grant you americans have been fighting that war for years...two nations divided by a common lang.)

4. You win by eliminating your opponants ability to wage war (congrats... not that they ever could have stood up to you in conventional battle anyway... you must have trained by killing puppies in a sack with baseball bats?).

5. you loose when your desire to stay and compleat your victory becomes tooooo worn down by the media and a lack of consencus at home. (note...like in Vietnam you won then you lost, WHY DIDNT YOU PULL OUT WHILE THE IRAQ FOLK WERE CHEARING U? ...let me guess, coke en levi wanted to set up stores out there? mac donalds wasnt ready for the francaise so you gave em time to get a boot in the door?).

6. Finaly the defeated must be made to feel respected and not detested, we call this WINNING HEARTS AND MINDS its not about americanising the defeated but giving respect and showing respect to a defeated culture...NOT CALLING EM RAGHEADS!.. fail to do this and the war becomes a guarilla war and has no end and generaly gets given up on as a bad idea (eg West bank, gaza, Vietnam, Tibet, afganistan -ask the russians).

& Finaly, The war on terror was never a scam.... just a grammatical error.

Good luck, your going to need it.

Offer them an alternative ideology that's benefits over the existing one are obvious. Perhaps one in which all people can live in peace with one another and have a high standard of living. Strong leadership that rebuilds standards. Offers health and life to the population. Educates and encourages. The South American continent seems to be empowering it's people for the first time in centuries. There is a real revolution going on there now. It could be a model for the middle east. Unfortunately it goes against the existing model of a select elite controlling the vast majority of resources. So no policy maker in America will support it.

Al Quaida declared war on the US and the west. They want us out of the middle east and are willing to kill everyone of us,men, women and children to reach the goal wich is a kalifat ruled by sharia law.We can't allow this. The idea's of Muslim extremist go against our core liberal, dermocratic values wich include the universal decleration of human rights.See the word UNIVERSAL.Rights for every human on this earth. What Bin Laden wants goes against this.
We must also embrace moderate Islam but to deny the grave threat of Muslim extremism is to deny reality.
That movement is global, look at the terrorism in Russia,Holland and so on.We can't negotiate with fascists,we didn't with Hitler and we shouldn't with Osama
August 23, 1996 Several months after being expelled from the Sudan, bin Laden issues his "Declaration of War Against the Americans Who Occupy the Land of the Two Holy Mosques." It reads, in part:

"Muslims burn with anger at America. For its own good, America should leave [Saudi Arabia.] ... There is no more important duty than pushing the American enemy out of the holy land. ... The presence of the USA Crusader military forces on land, sea and air of the states of the Islamic Gulf is the greatest danger threatening the largest oil reserve in the world. The existence of these forces in the area will provoke the people of the country and induces aggression on their religion, feelings and prides and pushes them to take up armed struggle against the invaders occupying the land. ... Due to the imbalance of power between our armed forces and the enemy forces, a suitable means of fighting must be adopted, i.e. using fast-moving, light forces that work under complete secrecy. In other words, to initiate a guerrilla war, where the sons of the nation, and not the military forces, take part in it."

The west didn't star this but we must finish it.America made mistakes and wrong choices but we must defeat this hateful ideology like we've always done throughout history.

The War on Drugs has been raging and nothing has been accomplished. That should say something about the War on Terror.

Terror isn't an ideology. We are at war with Islamofascism. Nazi was an ideology. We defeated them militarily. QED.

You can't fight a war on an ideology. You can only fight against people. If this had been a War on TerrorISTS, progress would be more measurable. How do you know when an "ism" has been defeated?
