The very best is Michael Caine and the Muppets with Kermit as the dutiful Bob Cratchit and Miss Piggy as his feisty wife, the Muppets do Dickens with Michael Caine as the miserly Scrooge. Musical-comedy adaptation of Dickens' classic "A Christmas Carol" featuring the Muppets. Miser Ebenezer Scrooge learns the true meaning of Christmas and reforms his heartless and money-grubbing ways after being visited on Christmas Eve by four Ghosts: his old business partners Jacob and Marley, the Ghost of Christmas Past, the Ghost of Christmas Present, and the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come.
--Feature-film directorial debut for Brian Henson, the 29-year-old son of the late puppeteer Jim Henson. Brian Henson began working as a puppeteer at his father's studio at age seventeen and took over as president and CEO of Jim Henson Productions following his father's death in 1990.

If you want a movie that sticks to the book, go with either the Albert Finney or George C Scott version as already mentioned.
But a good comedy version is "Scrooged" with Bill Murray.

For my money it's Reginald Owen in the 1938 version. Everybody plays Scrooge well enough. This version has the best Crachit family. Real life couple Gene and Kathleen Lockhart and their daughter June (later of Lassie and Lost in Space fame). It makes them more of a family to me as I grew up with them.
The Albert Finney version is good too. He made me really feel for Scrooge.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0104940/
and I love the Alistaire Sim version - truly a classic
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0044008/
and Bill Murray in 'Scrooged' is hysterical

THE BEST BY FAR is this one - with Patrick Stewart as Ebenezer Scrooge.
