concealer is for blemishes or dark undereye circles. Foundation is going to be too light if your circles are dark. I like clinique for a concealer, if you want cheaper--go with revlon--they have an age defying kind and it has improved the skin in my undereye area (and I'm in my 20s).

Concealer is a heavier version of foundation. Foundation has more of a transparent quality as where concealer tends to lean towards an opaque quality. Foundation evens out color on the face as where concealer tends to cover up areas that foundation is not able to even out. There are several makeup artists at department store counters that can help you with your dark circles. They can help you match the color to your skin tone. The artist can also guide you on how to apply the concealer and/or foundation. The eye area is very sensitive. The elasticity of your skin in that area can easily be damaged from the wrong way of applying makeup in that area. Rubbing around our eyes is not a good thing. I like makeup from MAC or Lancome. You don't have to buy everything they try to sell you. Listen to what the artist has to say then go from there. If they think you need a moisterizer, then get one. Let them pick out the colors for you and show you how to apply the concealer and/or foundation. I hope this helps.

if you have great skin, you really don't need foundation. Pick a concealer a shade lighter than your skin tone, and then dab a small amount on the lower part of your ' circle' with the pad of your finger. Then blend carefully into the circle. DO NOT pull, you will cause wrinkles. Brand is a matter of personal preference, not all work for everyone. I would just try for something light, like a souffle, and not use a stick....too heavy handed.

Concealer. Foundation is meant to be used to even out the skintone, not as much to cover darker imperfections. That's what a concealer is for. I've always used Loreal True Match concealer. I can get it in my exact skintone, it blends really well, and it's not that expensive. You'd probably want to buy a compact or loose powder to put on over the concealer to help "set" it and help it stay on longer too.

If you do not use foundation, do not start. A concealer will do the trick. I have use maybelline for years, no need to get the pricey stuff. Gently apply under the eyes and pat over with a powder to set. It will last all day til you decide to wash it off.

I usually use concealer and then put foundation on top. I just went to Sephora and bought a skin tone concealor there. I really can't remember which brand. My foundation is just simple liquid foundation from Maybeline.

depending on how dark your cirlces are concealer might or might not work. personally i think foundation works well with circles. there are many different ones to choose from so there shouldn't be a problem in finding the right one. try this website www. dermadoctor.com. some experts say you should use a cover up with a yellow base to counteract the blue tones in your skin. since dark cirlces is a vein problem you shold also take vitamin k

Well you should use concealer in the places that need concealing and then put the foundation over it. MAC is the BEST there is!

I would start with a good cleansing and skin care regimen. Avon Anew products are wonderful. They have products that specifically address the eye area. After skin care Avon has a great product called Radiant Lifting Concealer that visibly diminishes undereye circles on sale for $4.99 reg $7.00. This comes in different shades. I would follow with a foundation for your skin type and finish with a translucent powder. Please e-mail me for any additional help I am a Avon beauty advisor and leadership representative.
