All of you out there that have your panties in a wad about Tony Romo representing the NFC as a quarterback have been somewhat misinformed. Romo is going but only as a reserve. The REAL pro-bowl quarterback for the NFC is Drew Brees. Does anybody out there do any research at all before answering a question?

Gary M, Peyton Manning and Tom Brady are very good quarterbacks but they play for the AFC not the NFC.

Your point would be valid if Romo was an alternate, but he's not, he's a reserve. The reserves play in the pro-bowl, generally the starter plays for most of the first half, then the second guy comes in, and the third reserve finishes the game. So Romo is a REAL pro-bowl quarterback for the NFC. And that's why people have their "panties in a wad". Does anybody out there do any research at all before asking a question?

First ...to Gary m: Peyton Manning and Tom Brady are in the AFC, and Manning was selected to go as the starter while Brady was snubbed. This question refers to the NFC, so make sure you know what is going on before you decide to answer!

Next, Romo is going as a reserve, but he was still selected as one of the 3 best QBs in the NFC (taking the third spot obviously). He may not be starting, but he is still a Pro Bowler due to this selection. However, his selection is still very touchy when you look at other QBs in the NFC.

The Cowboys are 6-2 under Romo with 2440 yards and 16 TDs to 10 INTs. Atlanta is 7-7 with Vick as the starter, who has thrown for 2284 yds with 19 TDs to 11 INTs. However, Vick has also rushed for 990 yards and 2 more TDs, bringing his total yardage to 3274 and 21 TDs. His numbers would be even higher if his receivers were able to bring in more catches, just like Hasselbeck had to deal with a couple seasons ago. If Romo had to suffer that same indignity with his receivers, he wouldn't have as much consideration and Parcells would mor than likely just go on a cutting spree.

If a reserve QB who is now starting is getting such a push, then Jeff Garcia has been a better QB than Romo. Although he would have less yardage than Romo (2440 to 2084), he would have more TDs and far fewer INTs than Tony at 18/2 vice 16/10 (using averages taken from current statistics compiled during the season). Furthermore, the Eagles were depending on McNabb to take them to the playoffs and once he went down with a torn ACL, just about everyone wrote off the Eagles. Garcia stepped in and saved their season. Why isn't there any talk about Garcia being snubbed?

The ProBowl selection must always be remembered as a popularity contest amongst all other things. At least when I vote, I look at the statistical presence that the players have made and go by that ... along with making sure a vote or two favors my favorite team (Chicago Bears). Romo may be in as a reserve, but his selection still grants him Pro Bowl status regardless. Besides, in the Pro Bowl, when you get out there, just about everyone gets a chance to play.

Ah, no, you are wrong. Brett Favre was voted as the reserve. The reserve is the guy that goes if one of the three voted in get hurt or don't go. Romo was voted the third QB, which is on the active roster. He'll play, so he's not reserve. Unfortunately for not starting half the year and only having a few good games I doubt he really deserves the honor. But the NFC is pretty weak, so he squeaks in.

Gary m, how can you say Drew Brees doesn't deserve to go to the Pro Bowl? He is the leading QB, not only in the NFC, but in the NFL.

to many people answer questions when they shouldn't. You should of saved your 5 pts. Brady & manning are in the afc. Brees & Romo are in the NFC. As Larry the cable guy says, "YOU CAN'T FIX STUPID"

obviously you dont do your reseach because there are 3 quarterbacks that make it to the game and actually dress and play. The one thats listed first is who got the most votes which was obviously dreww brees, but having said that Brees, Romo, and Bulger will all play in the game on Feb. 10th

just because people don't agree with the selections doesn't mean that they don't know what there talking about it just means that they don't agree with what went down we understand that romo is going to the pro bowl but me in my opinion i don't think tony romo should be going to the probowl he hasn't played a full season to deserve to be going to the probowl even if it's just as a reserve

you're an idiot.

reserve means he's on the team...he's just not starting
he's going to hawaii
reserves are considered pro bowl players aka Tony Romo was selected for the pro bowl. Just cuz he's not starting does not mean that this isn't an injustice because it is

why don't you understand what the hell you're talking about before you tell people they don't know what they're talking about

No matter what, Tony will still play and represent "DA BOYS".
Yeah baby that is right, the boys are back in town ... and that's the "COWBOYS" !!!!! This is why 4 players are going to the Pro Bowl. Tony Romo, DeMarcus Ware, Roy Williams and Mat McBriar.
