You actually didn't have a period for 3 weeks. After the baby is born, you bleed for a few weeks, but it's lochia, not a menstrual period. It can go away and come back. I had a child 5 weeks ago, and the lochia stopped at 3 weeks, and is just now slightly coming back, too. If it's really heavy and/or accompanied with pain, give your OB or midwife a call. You're probably going in for a 6 week check up soon anyway, right?

If you only had the baby 6 wks ago, then this is still post patrum bleeding, not a period. Anything up to 8 wks post partum is not considered a period. Talk to your Dr. I'm surprised he or she did not explain this to you so you knew what to expect.

Very common, the body goes through hell during pregnancy and childbirth so it takes several months to get back to normal, even up to a year. I would just give it some time, I had my second child 4 months ago and still have really strange bleeding patterns. If you are concerned go ahead and give your Dr. a call and they can take a look and make sure everything is healing OK.

This is normal. I bled for about 3 weeks and then stopped for 10 days. Then I started bleeding again and that is your normal period. The bleeding after childbirth is normal. It is not a 'period'. It is the remaining waste from the placenta. Congratulations on your new baby!

Very normal. You bleed for 3 weeks and you get your first period a month after you give birth. So what you are experiencing now is your first period. It probably will only last 5 days.

as a mum of 3girls, i wouldnt easily hit the panic button at her giving the toddler some maltesers, a sprint chocolate wont do any injury, yet white choclate could be alot extra powerful as they are able to digest it extra powerful at that age particularly than darkish choccie, as for the coke, properly i'm hoping she is waiting for one hyper energetic newborn, none of my lot get coke finished end it makes my eldest quite hypo, this section i dont consider in any respect, its undesirable for the babys tooth which would be coming via and she or he quite isnt sufficiently previous to be ingesting it, the only element you're able to do is consult together with her and if she doesnt pay attention theres no longer something you're able to do, yet going off the deep end at her will only make her back faraway from you so please dont study her the rebellion act, basically be a reliable chum and attempt and reason together with her approximately it :-)

Mine was the same way. Your body is just getting rid of all the stuff. So you are going to bleed more. If you are worried call your doctor and see what they say.

If you're not breastfeeding then it is your first period. The first one is heavy, really heavy.
If you're breastfeeding it would warrant a call to your doctor I think.
