Life without a remote would be ok if we didnt have over 300 channels to choose from. Just the thought of losing the remote makes my skin crawl. If the remote gets loss for any reason, you better believe the tv will stay on that same channel until the second coming of Jesus.

No remote what a scary thought for children if they could not get mum or dad to change the channels they would have write in to (Answers) to find out how to do it? Good Question.

I doubt it. I remembered being told to go change the channel, every four to five minutes. It was horrible, because I rarely got to watch what I wanted to.
I read that today 2 in 5 children, under the age of five, has a television in their bedroom. How sad is that?

Could you imagine with like the satellite tv, and having 500 channels, and no remote? hahaha. You would be 10 minutes late for all your favorite tv shows.
Also, I don't remember that, so it must have been a loooong time ago. ;)

That is cause we were our parent's remotes back then. I can remember sitting by the TV turning the channel. Thank goodness we did not have 100 channels back then.

Did you have the Black and White TV with the aluminum foil on the rabbit ears and vice grips to turn the channel because the knob broke? I wondered where my old set went.....
I think the concept of picking up a musical instrument and practicing so that one day you could actually create music rather than plop down $20 for a CD so you can hear high quality recordings (reproduction and playback, and not artistic quality) would be a bigger stretch.
I tripped over a record player as a child... It didn't hurt me none (click) It didn't hurt me none (click) It didn't hurt me none (click)
I won't be able to use that joke anymore.,.......

It sucked not having a remote but since we only had 2 channels anyway, it didn't really matter.

Wow! That was a long time ago, wasn't it? Remember when stations (all 3 of them - NBC, CBS & ABC) played the National Anthem at 10 p.m. because they were going off the air for the night? That was back when The Love Boat and Fantasy Island were #1~LOL - Thanks for the memories!!!
Merry Christmas!
