It all depends on the friction coefficient of the surrounding navel hairs and the deposit rate of the fabric. For cotton, you'll get a higher yield than say, polyester or rayon. Assuming a high coefficient and wearing cotton, you can harvest a gram of lint in about a week, an ounce in about a month. The average quilt (especially the real fluffy ones) require about 5 - 10 lbs of filler, but with the compacted nature of belly lint, you should probably estimate this higher, say 20 lbs. Given there are 16ozs in a lb, you'll be busy for about 30 years.

Never noticed any in mine but I shower daily. My hubby's collects a wee bit of lint a day. I guess it depends on the type of belly button you have and what material clothes you wear.
