Not according to the Gardening Site:
"Male squirrels do not spend any time with the pregnant female and do not help in raising the young. "

Squirrel males do not have anothing to do with the raising of the babies. The female won't tolerate his presence much beyond mating once babes are present. Squirrels are sociable and their territories overlap (depending on which species, for example fox sq. and grey sq. have slightley different sized areas required for occupation) but with regards to babies, moms do it all!
