their names are all misleading. Guinea pigs are not pigs, they are rodents. Prarie dogs are not canines, they too are rodents. Fireflies are not flies, they are beetles. Silkworms are not worms, they are caterpillars

They breathe air?
They all produce light (except the guinea pigs, prairie dogs, and silkworms)?
They're vegetarian?

All are animals.
