She has lost contact with my aunt and uncle before for a year, but she finally contacted them. I do not know why my aunt keeps thinking she will call, and my mom has tried to get her to call the police.

Nope...but my brother is her age and has been missing for 5 weeks. If she has a cell phone...report her missing...and the Police can trace her whereabouts through it. Good Luck!
