We have known each other for one year.... & it has been two months into the relationship.
I like him a lot and although I do kiss him and rub him occasionally OK i don't neglect him in any way BUT I have resisted many many urges to be all over him to the point where I feel like I am suffocating him.
Last night I said to him sometimes I just want to shower you with affection but I dont want to smother you he told me he felt the same way about me and that I am free to smother him anytime...
my question is for your opinion on experience...should I continue to resist my urges? Which way is healthier for a long lasting relationship?

Smother him with your love girl! But do not take his independence away. Let him have his space when he needs it and the same for you. But do not hold back your love from him!

Smothering him once in a while is not bad at all. This shows him that you really love him and are crazy about him. This has happened to me and I've been married almost 10 years now. Men love to be smothered with love and affection just as we do.

I would say give in to your urges, not 24/7, otherwist he may feel you are smothering him, but If he says he feels the same way---I say go for it

Honesty and Communication.
DOn't let him say that just to flatter you, and if he says to smother him, the you can. Just make sure it's what you both want.

do not resist!!!!!! It'll only make it worse. It's obvious that he's thinking the same thing as you, so just let it out! Don't go extremely far, but make sure that the devotion is equal...you'll see.

You shouldn't hold back your emotions, you're in a relationship. That's what they are about. Enjoy how you feel and express yourself. There is nothing wrong with showing your emotions.

If he said that you can be allover him, then why don't you?
Sounds like you two need to work this out---communication is the key. Is it ok with you for him to be allover you? If yes, then do tell him!
