Its possible. Babies get their bottom teeth first and typically teething starts around 4-6 months, but can start earlier as every baby is different.
Some signs can be, irritability, excessive drooling, constantly 'chewing' on hands, objects. You can give infant tylenol if your baby seems to be extremely aggitated, Baby Orajel works, Teething tablets, teething toys and even a large washcloth that has been wet and frozen is an inexpensive way to make baby more comfortable.

For the congestion etc. It may be a cold or another illness. If you are concerned please take your baby to the doctor. Better safe then sorry

Oh yea she's definately teething...and most of the time it comes with a runny nose. My son has been teething off and on since about 4 months. Either way wether the congestion is from teeth or a cold Tylenol will help. And you can get infant saline nose drops at any store to help if her nose is stuffed up and not just runny. If ur unsure about the dosage for the Tylenol call the doc they'll tell u, my son at that age was .8 Good luck teething is never easy

Doesn't really matter either way. Teething will cause a runny nose but not a cough or congestion. It's definitely not too early, both of my sons got teeth at 3 months, and had about 12 teeth at a year old. Just give her some tylenol of she seems in pain and a cold teething ring to chew on, or some baby oralgel.

my 5 month old gums are all swelled and stuff at her 4 month check up it was the same way and dr said that yes it was teething . at that age i would say yes she is teething and she may have a cold also .any major concerns and call her medical provider for a definite answer on whats going on. Also a really good thing to help with the discomforts of teeting is some lil tablets they sell at walmart called teething tablets, they work wonders. good luck

My daughter started teething at 5 months, too. It does cause some congestion and a slight raise in temperature. Just keep a watch on her and give her teethers to chew on. Baby Tylenol works wonders, as well.

If you can feel that the white dots are hard when you put a little pressure on them then she's probably teething. It's normal that a baby can be sick when teething.

I have a daughter and when she got her teeth she had the same thing. Its not to early for them to be teething. I would call the babies doctor to see what they want you to do.
