I have a baby bed that converts into a toddler bed. My daughter hates it but loves to sleep in a regular bed. She's only 17 months old and refuses to sleep in it at all. Should I convert her bed to a toddler bed and try that? I have an 11 year old but he always slept by himself. I am out of options and want her out of my bed!!!

they say 35 inches or if the child can climb out of the crib. you may have started a habit with letting her sleep in your bed, though. i'm not sure simply changing the bed will completely stop her wanting to sleep with you. if your daughter is big enough, change the bed and try laying with her in her bed until she falls asleep. it may take some doing to get her used to sleeping on her own but i think you should try to get her to do it. i think it's better for everyone that way.

There is no magic age. My daughter is almost 4 and still sleeps in her crib (although she's getting a "big girl bed" for Christmas). If your toddler is ready for a bed, she'll let you know. It sounds like she's already let you know! Go ahead and convert it to a bed. Just make sure it either has side rails or you have some kind of protection along the sides so she won't fall out.

At about a year is a good age for children to start sleeping in a toddler bed. And if she already wants to then let why stop her. As long as the bed is low to the ground and has small side rails to protect her from rolling off, then its fine. Hey it gets her out of your bed.

Give the toddler a regular bed, maybe put bean bags on the floor in case she rolls over and falls.

I really don't use age. The first time my son tried to climb out of his crib, I put him in a twin bed. He was a little over 2 years and 3 months old.

i think she is to young to sleep in a toddler bed. i mean what if she were to fall out of it and hurt herself. though you could try to fing some bars to put on the sides of the bed to keep the child from rolling out.

I think every child is different, but my son is 26 months and still sleeps in his cage, I mean crib. If he didn't he would never go to sleep. The only suggestion I have is to make her crib really comfortable, with pillows and soft blankets, some dolls and toys to keep her busy. Good Luck
