For Sk8ermom: Limewire Pro still does not legalize the downloading of copyrighted media.
Downloading any copyrighted music or movies through Limewire is illegal. Having the program, however, isn't. It's all about how you use it.

I use it, but I only download songs from there. There are lots of junk there when you're trying to download the movies from there. And I don't think it's illegal simply because there are lots of services like this one on the internet, and noone really cares about that anymore.
If you think it's illegal then be my guest and go to the store, or pay for the download. But I'm not going to do that if I can get it for free and I don't really care about the license and all that copyright stuff. People copy music all the time although it says on the original CD that it is "prohibited by the law" and all that junk.
Also, what the point of puting a copy security/protection on the CD, when you can still download it on the hard drive?
And CDs will be gone soon anyways with all that music available on the internet, and MP3s.

Some people download limewire illegally so then they are breaking the law so are stealling from artists and actors.
If you get it from their website then its fine and you can download.
I dont think it is entirely safe either.

I used to but stopped. It's not legal to use their service to download anything. And the program itself is huge and bogs your whole machine down.
I erased it after a week of having it.
