n general, which is tougher to gain admission for my undergrad degree in social science?

Will it be the top unis in the US (Harvard, Yale, Princeton, MIT) or in the UK( Oxford, LSE ,Cambridge, Imperial)?.. I was thinking in terms of merit based scores in exams as I heard that undergrad studies in the UK is much more rigorous than in the US...Anyone?

Toss up quite frankly. Of course, except for the Boston schools, I'd rather be in the UK locations.

I would have to go with the universities in the UK.
