Yahoo is so politically correct it's nauseating. They WILL NOT UTTER the words of a NATIONAL HOLIDAY, Merry Christmas. Even on the day. Last year, they had some crap about winter solstice or something. Will they DARE actually represent the fact that Dec. 25th is Christmas this year, or will they do some weak, spineless punk-out like usual?

WELL, as we see, Yahoo is a bunch of spineless punks who acknowledge everything but the obvious. UH, made up stuff about Pilgrims aside, in this 2006 year AD, we know that JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON. MERRY JESUS DAY!!!!

It is american history to ban Christmas.

Did you know that the Pilgrims outlawed Christmas. They also refused to use the 1611 King James Bible.

Christmas did not even begin to be a legal holiday anywhere in the United States until very late in the nineteenth century CE, with Alabama being the first state to make it so.

Christmas is not really about getting corporations to acknowledge it though is it?

I think they do not write Merry Christmas because not everyone celebrates Christmas and some people could be offended. It would be good if they just wrote Happy Holidays because it is saying have a happy holiday whatever you are celebrating.

Merry Christmas.

I say it because I celebrate it, so do 2 billion other people in the world. Everyone who celebrates Christmas should say it and be happy about it.

Christmas is my favorite holiday.

They probably won't because there's always that one person that gets offended because they don't believe in it. There's nothing wrong with that.. Everyone has their own beliefs, but most people say, "If they can say Merry Christmas then they need to say Happy Kwanza... etc." It's a waste of time.

i just don't understand why people are so touchy about this kind of thing. why can't we just acknowledge that everyone is different and learn about the differences? i sure wouldn't get upset if i saw a kinara or a menorah posted on their respective holidays.

the more we hush-hush these things, the more they become taboo, and the more people become afraid of each other.

hasn't anyone ever had someone wish them "merry christmas" even if the asker doesn't celebrate?

what is so wrong with Merry Christmas? it is said with a spirit of caring and fellowship. as far as i can tell all holidays represented at this time of year espouse these ideas.
