There are several books about hauntings in San Antonio by a local author and tour guide--Docia Williams. There are stories aplenty about haunted houses, hotels and other buildings.
The Menger hotel is one that is fairly famous.

Yes, there is nightmare on Grayson street which proves to be the best one here in SA. All the others are just imitated but not duplicated!! Now if you are looking for a REAL haunted place, the Menger hotel downtown has been proven to be truly haunted with plenty of sightings. Also," Remember the Alamo" because THEY sure wont let you forget if you are around the actual grounds of the Alamo!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some, but if you are hunting ghosts, downtown is the place to be. The Alamo, the Emily Morgan Hotel, and the Menger are all supposed to be haunted. The old Bonham house is supposed to be haunted too, but depending on your sexual preferences, it may or may not be the place to check out. It is now a nightclub called the Bonham Exchange and it is considered a "gay hangout."

Definitely a fan, so long as it is fairly well or truthfully haunted and no longer a few tacky false "dummies falling from the ceiling" factor. Once in Wisconsin we had been on excursion and we went to "the scariest haunted situation ever" and all we did was once stumble round in pitch darkness at the same time the historic man who runs the situation ran round in the back of the partitions and poked us with sticks. Once I idea that I noticed the best way out and I opened a door, nevertheless it was once a few garage subject with the sunshine on. Worst "haunted situation" ever!

I don't know,they say the Emily Morgan Hotel is or go to nightmare on Grayson street.I am not sure about the Menger hotel,you have to figure yourself.
