Anyone have any thoguhts on celibeacy? I've been celibate by choice I might add for three months, and I must add, it gets hard sometimes..Does anyone here practice celebacy? And if so is it hard for you as well? Do anyone feel that celebacy is against nature since sex is part of human functionality?Post your thoughts.

Celebacy is a state of mind....sometimes in our lives we are, sometimes we aren't ---its all a matter of motive and opportunity, I say!

I think celebacy is a good thing. It shows that you respect your body and want others too as well. It also shows that you don't take the act of sex lightly. I for one am celebate I won't tell you for how long though because its been way too long but it's not really difficult for me. I don't really feel the need to have sex unless I am with someone that I care about and if there is no one in my life at the time I just don't have sex at all. That's how I've always been so it's more of a way of life to me than being celebate or not. I think for men they probably feel its against nature but that's because they want it more than women do and prob couldn't see going a more than a month without it.

You are not celibate yet. You have managed to abstain for three months. Don't kid yourself. Thinking you are celibate could lead you into over confidence and with that a letting up or easing up a little on the suppression of the most powerful instinct you have, The downfall and recovery may be harder than to just consider yourself abstinent and not let down your guard. In this case the activity can be analogized much the same as any addiction where the habit to experience the orgasm is no different that that of an alcoholic who has stopped drinking. One drink can lead right back to the same and from there he has to start all over. If you are on a roll stay on it by not becoming over-confident. I have never been celibate or totally continent in that manner although I have managed to abstain for prolonged periods of up to about a half a year, I have learned though, it is good at times to let your instincts run their course. The practice is a determinant in mind over matter and the building of self-confidence in knowing what ones personal limits are. Good Luck!

If you want to choose celebacy as your way of life, it's your choice. There is nothing wrong with it in my opinion as human beings we've evolved to a stage where we are sophisticated enough to make these decisions.

I myself could not be celabic as i would find it too hard.

So in a way I respect you for your choice.

Being sexually abstinent,, is YOUR choice girl and NO one else's..I respect that , when a woman is strong enough to stop at a certain point and STILL feel fulfilled..I believe sex is not only in BODY but also a BIG part in MIND----sometimes..a kiss...takes you farther away than a sexual encounter...and there is also ONE more plus to being celibate::: our body is our temple...and with so many random diseases out there it is neccesary to take control and to be more careful as into who you invite in to your bed and into your body..cheers!!!!!

I believe that "celibacy" only means not being married; "chastity" means abstaining from sex.

some of us dont have much of a choice in either regard
