That's a great book if you have the time to invest in reading it.

I prefer The Official Guide to Learning to Drive (its also available on Amazon and instock, I checked).

You can learn to drive faster with that book, it skips the non-essential details and gets to the good stuff faster.

I think you become a good driver by experience. You have to get teh feel of a car and how you make it work and all that. A book can't do that for you but maybe you could get the basics from it.

It is good to buy because if you want to drive you have to learn some basic staff like about engine and how to fix a tire so you will not waste money on unnescessary things

Margaret Stacey is (or was) an excellent instructor - should make interesting reading , but don't rely on any book as a substitute for good instruction.

A book on it's own is no good, to drive on the road you HAVE to have practical driving lessons plus books.

the book should be good the author also wrote the driving instructor handbook which is essential reading for any instructor.

I will be buying a copy for myself as i have never seen it before.

Are you in the UK? Don't they have some pretty strict MOT guidelines over there? Real driver training > book.

How is a book going to teach you to drive? I would say no!
