Just wondering if anything good can be derived from this statement, I know of the bad that can come from it. Everything has been very cool between me and the dude, we are NOT boyfriend/girlfriend, I just noticed lately when we talk especially online we'll have a conversation going but sometimes he'll just get silent and not say another word for the rest of the night, and today he said "I've been going through some changes" when I asked how he was doing

I would be carefuly....that can be good or bad. Just talk to him about it, ask him to tell you what he means or if it's anything to do with you. If he won't tell you, start detaching yourself from him just in case it isn't good so you won't be too hurt in the end. But it can also be very good too, he could really be starting to like you. So just try to get him to talk about it with you, you really shouldn't assume anything because you never know.

The real reason can range from....the truth what ever that may be....to the same thing a woman says when she wants to break up but not hurt the guys feelings.

Only your friend knows for sure.

You have to know that when in chat a person can be talking to many people at once. Maybe he has a girl friend that he is chatting with and fits you in when ever he can. He may not want to tell you this for fear of running you off. He wants you to still be a friend but just not quite as close as you were.

While you have to be prepared for the answer....just ask him if he is tired of talking with you. He may lie....or he may tell you the truth. That is the down side of chat. You will never know. But if you ask the question in the right way he will tell you.

It could mean a number of things. I would suggest asking what kind of changes he's going through, hopefully it won't mean bad news for the two of you.

its a very broad statement (sometimes intentionally)
he could be going thru changes physically, emotionally, in his personal/family life, financially, spiritually.. u name it.
if you two are comfy w/ each other.. tell him you sense he's stressed and you'd like to help... let him know you're there to talk if he needs it.

of course, you said you dont want to know the NEGATIVE things that this could mean.. so i wont go there.
but as i KEEP saying on Yahoo..
'dont underestimate the power of communication'
TALK TO HIM; it wil work wonders.

He's going through something at the moment. Maybe hard times? Just ask him what changes he is going through...

well hunny i wouldnt take it too personal it might not have anything to do with the two of you, he thought enough of you to share that so its got to some trust there, i take it that the silence on his part was b/c he was away in thought about something thats going on with him & its obviously getting him down, get him to elaborate a lil more & be there for him comfort him, & be his shoulder, thats what friends are for... good luck & best wishes~ keep us informed...

He's hit puberty!!!

It's the same as when yuo go through changes. No sense worrying about it until he's finished, then see where you are.

For now give him space, but let him know you'll be there if he needs you.

Exact same thing as when women say it. They are tangled up in their own deceit and guilt at that moment. Don't you see he's probably married and it's becoming harder and harder to keep up with his lies. Same as women, it's not just men, trust that.
Unenvolve yourself in the name of decency...
