Ok my mom complains about how ugly I look, how I do my hair how I have such bucked teeth and look like an old woman.

Well recently earlier this year, I dyed my hair blonde and gained weight, I feel better and more beautiful about myself. I get surprising comments such as "I love your hair!" "you look nice today" "you look better than the last time I saw you!" "You have beautiful teeth" "You have a beautiful smile!"

I told someone I have bucked teeth and look like an old lady and my mom thinks my hair color is ugly and I'm fat(I don't think that my mom does!) my friends and aquaintance say "NO you don't have bucked teeth! You have a beautiful perfect smile! that hair color looks good on you you look older and more mature! Before, with your natural hair color you looked 15!"

Well I am 22 and I love looking older and more my age instead of looking like an underage minor!

Also my mom thinks I'm obese just because I gained weight and weigh 118 ibs. What's wrong with her?

But my friends and iinstructor makes too skinny jokes and I take them lightly and funny.

But I wanna gain more weight though. I have a pot belly though.

Suggestions?

Don't worry my self confidence and esteem have improved.

I think I'm pretty in my own way. So who's wrong my mom or other people?

Even my instructors have complimented how good I look.

My mom also says that I'm not fit for marriage because I have a low sex drive and sex is the ultimate importance for men in marriage and that I'm too small down south.

I hate to say this, but your Mom sounds just plain cruel. One word- Jealousy. You are a young woman, your mom should have no control over you. You sound very pretty and she sounds depressed and unhappy with her own life and appearance. When someone feels the need to cut someone down it is because they are not happy with themselves. Ignore her, instead of getting angry, you should feel sorry for her, it sounds like she has issues. Please do me a favor, when you have children, it is crucial to their developing self esteem to compliment them and make them feel like the most beautiful person in the world. I'm sorry your Mom didn't do that with you. Good luck and remember, you are a beautiful person, try to help your Mom see herself as one too!!

wow. seems like mum has some issues.she may be projecting feelings about herself.. or other issues onto you.
it matters what YOU think.. not your mom.. not your instructors.
If you feel good about it.. dont worry about anyone else.. not even your mother
and if you have to .. remind her... im YOUR child.. where do you think i got this from? lol
and go on about your business. you're 22.. so you're an adult.
also... if you weigh 118 pounds.. u probably need to go eat a piece of chicken.. unless you're short....
118 is light and in NO way that i know would constitute as being obese.

If YOU love the way you look.. forget everything else.

EDIT: are you a male or female?
if female what did you mean when you said your mother said you were 'too small down south'? are you a virgin?

Sounds like Mom is a bit jealous and maybe afraid of losing you to the man of your dreams. As far as the weight thing goes, if you work out, you'll lose that pot belly and still gain weight as muscle weighs more than fat. Tell Mommy to mind her own business and if she doesn't have anything nice to say, not to say anything at all.

No offence to your mom but she is in the wrong. And you are not fat at all I wish I was your size. Im only 15 and im 160. But your mom just wants the best for you and I know she loves you with all her heart. Nobody is fat or ugly all that matters is whats inside. Just as my grandmother always says pretty is as pretty does.

Anyone who tells you you look like a certain way and you don't feel like you do , is wrong. Your mom shouldn't be calling you ugly and things like that. So she is definitely wrong. If your friends make fun of you they're probably just teasing. But if any of it bothers you, you should tell them to stop because you don't like it. If you're comfortable with how you look, just ignore everyone else's comment. If you think you need to weigh more, then go ahead, don't listen to everyone else.

Gaining 118 lbs is a lot of weight. Are you sure you want to do that?

Your mom might have a point.

Your mother loves you very much. She always thinks about your goodness. She somehow anxious about your welfare. She is thinking about future. She has some bad experiences in her life. You must respect your mother as she gave birth to you. To bear a child is the greatest suffering. When you was infant your mother feed you, clean you. You have no power to walk. You were so helpless, lonely and solitary. Only your mother help then.
