I know its sick and wierd but we can't help feeling this way about each other. I mean even though we are cousins we can't fall out of love. I feel for him deep and I haven't felt like that about any other boy before. I am 16 and my cousin is 21 and I have loved him like forever and I wasn't planning to tell him that I love him romantically until he told me that for some reason he gets jealous whenever he sees me with guys. The only thing we have ever done was kiss once and it was scary. I want to tell my family but he thinks that we should keep it a secret. Please I'm confused and need help!

If you live in West Virginia, there is nothing wrong with this as long as he is a third cousin or further out on the family tree. I wish you luck with your inbreeding!

There's a couple of reasons he wants you to keep it a secret:
1. It's probably illegal where you live
2. You are underage, so he could go to jail
3. He is not in love with you, but would like a physical relationship with you
Absolutely do not do anything with your cousin again. You are underage and he's taking advantage of your feelings for him. If you were to tell your family, he'd probably deny that he'd ever kissed you are had feelings for you.
You are too young to understand what a dangerous situation this is for you now, but it is. Take my word for it and leave him alone. Just because he gets jealous when he sees you with other guys does not mean he loves you. The fact that you found kissing him scary and he does not want to tell your family should tell you something about how inappropriate this is. You already know it's, in your own words, "sick and weird."
Leave him alone.

Here is news for you: You are not the first set of cousins to fall in love in this world and you will not be the last!! When I was younger, I was "in love" with a cousin but I moved to another country.
I know two couples who are cousins and are currently married (both happily married) and both families have accepted it. I guess it depends on your family and their heritage/traditions/beliefs and so on.
I think your family will be MORE scare at the fact that you are ONLY 16 and you THINK you know what TRUE love is. If you guys were much older, they probably would not have problem with it. Now, at your age and his age, yes, I think they would oppose it.

Alright, what I would do is simple. Think about what is really in your heart. You have FOREVER to meet guys, and if your thinking this one is the right one, and you will die without him, your probably exaggerating a little bit. I've done that, and once I found a new guy that was actually better, smarter, nicer than the last guy, I forgot why I ever liked the last guy. I'm just saying that you should really think about what you are doing and the consequences that will happen...

Don't tell them. He's a sick guy, who's only intrest is playing with your emotions. What do u really think he wants with a 16 year old girl he's related to. Isn't it wierd, not only can he not find a girl his age, he can't find one outside his family!!!

Your young and you think you love him Romantically. But you just love him as family. I think a crush on a cousin might b somewhat normal. You just envy them.....you have mistaken it for love. Since he is 21 he is taken advantage of you. He knows better than that!

Oh wow, this could tear apart your family. You are only 16, wait until your an adult and see what happens then. If you tell your parents now you're still going to have to live with them. That won't be easy. This may be a huge crush, I hope it is. I know you say it isn't and I respect that. But I'd say please wait until your an adult to act on these feelings or else your whole family could make life hell on you. Good luck to you! This must be hard.

Your cousin is a creep and you need to tell your parents. You are 16 which makes him a sexual predator and he should be in prison.

first of all, you two should have never allowed yourselves to be put in this situation. im sorry, but cousins are off limits. you need to distance yourselves from each other and move on to date other people. unless your family is sick and weird, they're not going to be ok with it.
