annulled is to make null, as in void, as in, it never happened. The marraige is wiped from the books as if it never existed. It is not the same as divorce.

Annulled means voided.

1. To make or declare void or invalid, as a marriage or a law; nullify.

In the time it took to ask this you could have googled the word for an answer. I don't mind answering but search engines are a great tool.

Divorce means ending a marriage at a certain point in time. You were married for five years and then you were not.

Annuled means the marriage was dissolved before it begun. It is the recognition that you were never married, even though you said the vows and what not.

It means "null and void" or in other words... it never happened. Af far as marriage, this would mean something happened that made the marriage vows unenforceable. Maybe the groom was drunk, the bride was mentally ill. There was some duress or force used to get one party to marry. Basically though, it's a Catholic divorce.
