love is patient, kind, caring about others instead of yourself, it never boasts or brags, it is giving instead of taking. It is about serving, not being served. It is never prideful. Love is not a feeling, it is a choice, just like forgiveness. It does not envy, or cause strife. Love endures all things.

It's a form of dependency is almost spiritual and probably best expressed as the image of a mother and a newborn baby. The baby is all need, wanting warmth and comfort and mother folds around, protects, cares and nourishes the baby in a physical and possessive way. To the baby (and we were all once babies) , this satiation and attention forms the foundation from which all other bonds, love and companionship at least, are based. So love is a learned thing from birth, in my opinion.

Depends on what context you use it in. Love can be a verb or a noun. It's like asking the meaning of sex. And by the way how can you have sex as a verb? wouldn't it be doing sex?
