what would be a good magazine to subscribe to if im a beginner rider and only into sport bikes?

Sport rider would be the way to go. Cycle works and motor cyclist also have dirt bikes and cruisers which I assume your not interested in.
There are also some great european mags like TWO and Superbike. You can find them at barnes & Noble but they are expensive (around $8 each)
Also, think about reading Keith Code's book "A twist of the wrist"
or some other book on sport riding. You will learn alot.

probably want sport rider then. most mags dont really tell you anything useful as they are afraid of being sued. maybe subscribe to a British mag which will be more expensive but usually more informative
